Major Highways
Dallas-Fort Worth is served by major interstate highways including I-35, I-30, I-45, I-635, and US-75. I-35 and I-45 provide north-south routes, while I-30 connects Dallas and Fort Worth. I-635, the LBJ Freeway, loops around Dallas, and US-75 (Central Expressway) links northern suburbs to downtown. Travel time to downtown can take about 30 minutes without traffic, but during rush hours it can streatch to over an hour. Knowing these highways can help you plan your commute and avoid delays.
Toll Roads
DFW has several toll roads, including the Dallas North Tollway (DNT), Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT), and George Bush Turnpike (GBT). These roads help bypass heavy traffic during rush hours, but be cautious—75 and 635 Express lanes feature dynamic toll pricing, adjusting based on real-time conditions to keep traffic moving.
